Bug in 2.2 ?
« on: April 29, 2023, 01:33:37 am »
after updating from 2.1 to 2.2 the POE values end up on the wrong interfaces, in discovery the correct interface is identified, so also in the "connection box", but in the interface list it is completely wrong.
I am using the same definition file in both versions and I messed around with ifnx and different POE mibs without luck

For now I have only seen it on IOS-XE based switches like Cisco 9200,9300

NeDi environment
Ubuntu 20.04
MariaDB 10.3.38
Nginx 1.18.0
PHP 7.4.3
NET-SNMP 5.8

Well it seems like we dont have any solution for IOS-XE in version 2.2....
And I have discovered that NeDi cant handle Cisco FPR 1150 in ASA mode either,  same thing with that one,  Interfaces is not handled at all,  cant see them.

The libsnmp.pm line 1490 (1515 in version 2.2) changed somewhat. But even with Meld I cannot figure out what that was. Is your issue fixed, if you copy the one from 2.1 over?
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!

It worked,  we changed the line in libsnmp and the POE values end up on the right interfaces on right interfaces.

As for the Cisco Firepower 1150, it seems to be something to do with SNMPv3. If we use SNMPv2 we can see all interfaces, but with SNMPv3 we see no interfaces. We continue to debug with other FPR OS versions to see if it is a bug.

Any chance you can share your def file and the libsnmp file that worked? I have the same issue on 2.2

EDIT: I updated to 2.3 and hey presto, working like a charm now!
