doubt about in/out meaning
« on: February 09, 2021, 10:00:30 am »
Hi all,
today I'm monitoring bandwidth usage and I have adout about In and Out meaning.
I'm checking a port used by an AP and the uplink of same switch.
Bandwidth usage is similar (the switch is not very used, and today we have a streaming), but in/out values are switched, so I don't understand how I should read them: point of view of the switch or point of view of the node (AP in this case)?
I attach graph, on the left the graph of the AP port and uplink on the right.

I found the answer by myself  ;)
Point of view is that one of the switch, which receives data on access port (in) and send them on uplink (out).
