Mapping of ssh port
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:08:38 am »
How do I map the ssh port from the default to 822 for a particular device?  Is there a way?

The portmapping only applies to telnet, but I'm aware there is an increasing need for SSH. Do you still use telnet somewhere?

Not using telnet anywhere.  The firewall git woke up and got the idea in his head that changing the ssh port is a good idea.  Obviously hasn't heard of nmap.
Bottom line, I can't persuade him to change it back to 22.

I'll look into this as no one should really be using telnet anymore ;)
