Nedi with overlapping IP-addresses
« on: September 16, 2012, 01:07:08 AM »
We are running a big network where we sometimes need to "NAT" some networks becuse they are already used at some other place in our network. Using NAT isnt good becuse we loose alot of Nedi´s strenght,    anyone have any idea how to handle this problem,,  I think this is problem is something every outsourcing company will face.

I've tried to monitor a couple of devices through a NAT, didn't have any luck either.
Nedi would find the device but couldn't get the stats off of it because it tries to use the IP configured on the device.
As it was our testlab I didn't look into it for long.
It would be helpful to have a way for nedi to also get stats from NAT'd or even overlapping subnets.

In nedi.conf, if commenting useip isn't good enough, use mapip to map back to the nat ip...
