Hi all,
I use NEDI 2.1.071.
If I load images in html/topo folder, I can see them in building page. Is it possible to have images in floor or rack page?

Discovery / fping to a network, no output on NEDI GUI

Dear all,
today I searched for a way to do a network scan with NeDi.
I found that I could use Nodes Toolbox ping, but I see that I don't obtain any output in Nedi GUI, while I obtain it by SSH connection.
I use NeDi 2.1.071.
Any advice?

Hi all,
is it possible to change vlan of a specific port on a Cisco switch through NeDi web interface?
If yes, is snmp write required or ssh access, already used to backup configuration, could be used?

I tried, but I didn't obtain a good map. Filtering on core switch or firewalls, logical interfaces and their addresses are not showed if there is not a link with another device.

GUI / Logical network map

Hi all,
something that could be very useful is to obtain an automatic logical map. Now NeDi provides a phisical network map based on CDP,LLDP links, but of course it's not helpful from a logical point of view.
NeDi knows ip addresses of firewall and core switches interface, so it already has informations.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Hi all, I fixed my issue, maybe it was caused by a space in city name I was testing.
A suggestion, I would put image links in rack panel, not under floor name. In my case I have a big site with many racks on same floor, and too many links under floor name are not so user-friendly.

LAN/Switching / macflood monitoring setup

Hi all,
I read posts in the forum related to macflood and monitoring, but I didn't undestand how to setup a notification when nodes on a specific switch port are more than threshold configured on nedi.conf.
Can anyone help me ? Now in nedi.conf I have macflood = 50.
Then how to find it's events in the list?

Dear all,
I see on Nedi that on some ports a lot of nodes are mapped in same moments, also 90 mac-addresses on same ports, discovered more or less at same time. I don't think a user connected a switch, ports are in offices where users do not use industrial switch o similar devices.
I ask if someone experienced similiar issues and if it could be some strange behaviour of NeDi.

I think vlan.dat backup is needed for vtp servers

If the startup VTP mode is server mode, or the startup VTP mode or domain names do not match the VLAN database, VTP mode and VLAN configuration for the first 1005 VLANs are selected by VLAN database information, such as the vlan.dat file. VLANs greater than 1005 are configured from the switch configuration file.
In "Backup and Restore of vlan.dat File" section  I read "In order to perform a complete backup of your configuration, include the vlan.dat file in the backup along with the configuration."

Is it possible to backup vlan.dat file from Cisco core switches on NeDi?
To backup only configuration is not enough for core switches when using vtp.
