Title: Add photos and layouts linked to network devices
Post by: networkbo on October 30, 2020, 02:56:05 pm
Hi all,
is there a way to upload photos linked to switches, APs and other devices? I'm using NeDi 1.7

If your devices use NeDi's location scheme (Region;City;Street;Floor;) you can upload documents or fotos in the topo folder (subfolders are created when OSM maps are selected in Topo-Table). If you name them like this, they'll show up in Topo-Table's building floors:

Street-Floor-Something.jpg

Hi, now I'm using NeDi 2.0.120, I don't find the way you indicated, I don't have any icon related to openstreetmap.
I use NeDi inside Neteye.

I added an Image in nedi/html/topo with name site-floor 1-rack.jpg when snmp location is state;city;site;floor;rack but nothing appears.
Should I remove the space in floor name or there is anything else?

I tried also to create folders in topo one: topo/state/City without success

In the city folder the files should be named like building-floor.jpg or building-floor-something.jpg (see example below)

Space should be removed in general (I recommend to only use a number or G or U or U2 etc. for floors)

Hi all, I fixed my issue, maybe it was caused by a space in city name I was testing.
A suggestion, I would put image links in rack panel, not under floor name. In my case I have a big site with many racks on same floor, and too many links under floor name are not so user-friendly.
