Problem with backup using telnet (nedi 1.0.5)
« on: August 03, 2010, 02:27:59 PM »
Hello,
we are currently trying to configure NeDi to create backups of out Cisco Switches / Routers. We cannot bring NeDi to try to login by using telnet. Analysing the interface traffic (tcpdump) did show, that there is no telnet request from NeDi to the switch. We configured username/password/enablepw ... but NeDi doesn`t want to login.
Running in verbose mode, NeDi does not show any errors - missing Perl Modules or something else.

How can we do further debugging or does someone know where to find the problem!?!

Hello

I solved, it was the usual problem related to the regexp

changed in this way, and everything works now  :)

# Regexp to match username prompts (useful if you set something else on auth server):
userlogin       (sername|ogin):\s?
