??? how to realize:multible values for duplex
« on: April 30, 2010, 03:16:52 PM »
Hello!

I want to create a def-file for a Netgear FS750T2 .
(sysObjectID=2.58434.17224.17713.14592.13568.4526.100.4.4 (says Other-Defgen.php) or sysObjectID=.5.14.49.11825.11826.24368.13568.4526.100.4.4. (says my MIB-Browser) -  mysterious!

By browsing the snmp-walk, I have found .1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.11.11.6.1.3.x for duplex with following sense:
"1" = Port down
"2" = 10Mbit halfduplex
"3" = 10Mbit fullduplex
"4" = 100Mbit halfduplex
"5" = 100Mbit fullduplex

So you see that 2 and 4 meaning halfduplex, 3 and 5 meaning fullduplex.
How do I tell this in Other-Defgen.php/.def-file???

Thanks for answers.
Steffen

argh, no matter what I do, vendors always seem to come up with another way...

a regexp like 2|4 and 3|5 would do the job, but needs changing lines around 773 in libnsmp.pl from:

if($duplex{$i} eq to something like if($duplex{$i} ~ /if($duplex{$i} eq $misc::sysob... etc.

Might be worth a try...
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!
