HP Procurve Router hangs for ever with discovering
« on: March 21, 2010, 09:10:10 AM »

Have problems testing NeDi with HP routers, especialy with HP SR7203dl. The sysobjID is this:
# Definition for created by Defgen 1.4 on 20.Oct 08 11:23 (admin)

Problem seams to be the CLI-probing (see below, User = cisco - manual login is possible), within or after
sub PrepDev()

>./nedi.pl -a -v -d
Started with relative path
LWP loaded
Net::SSH::Perl loaded
OUI:    15969 NIC vendor entries read
DEV:    7 devices read from nedi.devices
LINK:   0 links (WHERE type = "STAT") read from nedi.links added for discovery

QwRequested table is empty or does not exist
QaOBJECT IDENTIFIER length equal to zero

 MOD:5 ADSL WAN card 1  -       ADSL WAN card 1 AaOBJECT IDENTIFIER length equao

thx for help, Steffen

P.S.: to protect a SW from never-comeback-problems you can also take a timer using alarm() function short before critical parts of code.

I got this thing working in my lab. I'm pretty sure it should definitely work with 1oh6's new clilib (as well as the HP switches)...
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!
