netfilter and IP phones
« on: February 05, 2010, 10:16:17 AM »
Hello,

I don't want Cisco IP phones (SEP*) to appear as devices.

The netfilter I started using was:

netfilter       10\.16|10\.16\.0|10\.16\.1|10\.16\.2|10\.16\.4|10\.16\.6|10\.16\.10|10\.16\.11|10\.16\.14|10\.16\.16|10\.16\.20|10\.16\.22|10\.16\.26|10\.16\.32|10\.16\.40|10\.16\.101|10\.16\.102|10\.16\.103|10\.16\.104|10\.16\.105|10\.16\.106|10\.16\.107|10\.16\.108|10\.16\.109|10\.16\.110|10\.16\.127|10\.16\.128|10\.17\.|10\.18\.|10\.20\.|10\.21\.|10\.22\.|10\.25\.|10\.66\.|10\.69\.|10\.70\.|10\.128|10\.129|10\.130|10\.131|10\.132|10\.133|10\.134|10\.135|10\.136|10\.137|10\.138|10\.140|10\.141|10\.142|10\.143|10\.144|10\.145|10\.146|10\.192|10\.199|10\.200|10\.253|172\.17\.0|172\.17\.16|172\.17\.24|172\.17\.32|172\.17\.40|172\.17\.48|172\.17\.56|172\.17\.61|172\.17\.62|172\.17\.71|172\.17\.73|172\.17\.75|172\.17\.96|172\.17\.180|172\.17\.181|172\.17\.182|172\.18\.1|172\.18\.17|172\.18\.32|172\.18\.34|172\.18\.90|172\.18\.136

This did not mention specifically the phones IP subnets, but they appeared as devices anyway. So I appended the following netfilter so their networks could be specifically avoided:

^(?!10\.16\.12).*$|^(?!10\.0).*$|^(?!172\.17\.190).*$|^(?!172\.17\.191).*$|^(?!172\.17\.192).*$

But this didn't work either. They keep showing up as devices.

What is the configuration to avoid them from showing up as devices?

Thanks!

Miguel
