Stock management?
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:50:27 PM »
Shouldnt I be able to take the devices discovered by nedi and add them to the stock management?  So far the only way I can see is to manually add them.

Let me know if I'm missing a step.

I think this is how it is actually. It's true that this could be useful sometimes.

I'll do it if you convince me to spend time on this feature (wishlist, donation, NeDi store). Of course you could also do it with some SQL fiddling...
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!

This would be a very cool feature but not a top priority.

Thanks!

Yes, not a top priority, but if you have some spare device to add to "stock" (but not to put into production), a quick discovery, and a button to "move" it to a kind of "offline" database is a very nice thing!
Anyway, sometimes may happen that a "production" device will become substituted by a new one. A quick way to "archive" it, without loosing a lot of precious information seems useful.

Only an opinion. If you have only a dozen of switch, is not an heavy load to do it "by hand"...  ;D
