Discovery run never finishes
« on: August 06, 2009, 10:11:02 PM »
All,
This is a new install of NeDi 1.0.4 on Ubuntu 8.0.4
After a few very minor problems with the install - namely the nedi.pl -i failed to see my username / password, until I removed a couple of "my"s from inner $adminuser and $adminpw, the install went well.

Now, on a discovery (nedi.pl -pob), it runs for =~ 3 hours or so - and finishes device discovery - but- never writes any nodes, and never exits.

Here are the last lines output:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Took 189 minutes

Devs:   453 devices discovered
Link:   1570 links (ignoring 0 static) written to nedi.links
Node:   0 nodes read from nedi.nodes

and, here it sits.....

Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
Thanks

What does it when it is stuck? Try to sniff with wireshark. Perhaps it's trying to resolve a gazillion of hostnames?

Greetings
