Device name contains dots - discovery splits the name
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:44:10 AM »
We have devices with names like as.switch1 etc. Now the nedi discovery splits the name at the dot and only discovers one device as. Does anybody know where this behaviour can be changed so that nedi uses the complete name from the config?

it is a prerequisite for Nedi that the device name doesn't contain dots. Dots are treated like a domain part like router.yourdomain.com

But since other users asked for it too...

-F    Use FQDNs for devices. Allows "." in device names (which can mess up links)

Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!
