Scheduled downtime for devices
« on: July 10, 2017, 10:57:52 AM »
Hello Gents,

Is there any way or option to schedule a downtime for specific devices?
For example when there is a planed maintenance on the switch and it will be rebooted 2-3 times, than there is a way to schedule a dowtime in Nedi, that not monitor this switch in this time period?

Thanks and have a nice day.

Good question and I'm sure everybody encounters this situation. The monitoring service can be stopped in System-Services, but the proper approach is the maintenance mode (explained at 45:05): https://youtu.be/K5YuPGyQMmg?list=FL1aYM5K5bXjuU4cBy2FpY3g
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!

Hi Rickli,

Thanks for the reply, it was very helpfull.
So unfortunately i don't want to turn off the whole monitoring in the "System-Services" because i want to monitor other switches that are not under the maintenance plan.

In the "Monitoring-Setup" i can change the Monitor test to "no" value, until the maintanace is not over but it will be nice to have a form where we can put the "from" and "end" date to have it automatically turrned on because sometime IT guys are forget to turn it back for weeks. :)
