Def for HP2920 stack
« on: April 01, 2016, 04:21:58 PM »
Hey

Def file for 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.8.5.3, aka "The authoritative identifier for the HP stack of 2920 series switches. The stack can include devices like hpSwitchJ9726, hpSwitchJ9727, hpSwitchJ9728, hpSwitchJ9729."

I took a copy of 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.8.5.2.def and tried to modify the CPUutl and Temp. Again I'm puzzled why I get:

$ snmpwalk -c foo -v2c 1.2.3.4 .1.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.111001 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.111002 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.111003 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.112001 = INTEGER: 28
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.211001 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.211002 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.211003 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.99.1.1.1.4.212001 = INTEGER: 24

But this doesn't work:

Temp    1.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4N

Sorry for the late answer, but I assume you get a 0? N just picks the Next response. It doesn't check for 0 values...
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!

Ah, okay... gotcha.

So I might just as well poll either 1.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4.112001 or .1.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4.212001 to get temp from one of the switches in the stack :) At least I'll get some graph :)
