Guestpage to See Switchport / VLAN Configuration
« on: July 20, 2015, 04:11:04 PM »
In our company we have requests for which VLAN are configured on the Switchports.
With NeDi we already have this information... but we do not give those people access to NeDi.
For that reason I've created a new NeDi Module which you can choose the Switch by the Hostname and then you receive a list with the Switchport|VLAN|Portdescription and PoE usage. see picture.

You can access this module without a nedi account... guest access like the mh.php page.
Maybe it would be interesting to implement access restriction for radius or active directory users only...

To Install:
Download the vlanreport.zip file unzip and put the vlanreport.php file in the nedi/html/ directory .

greetings
Thiago

Tested,Thanks.
Only I have to change an array value from 2 to 3 to get all my Cisco switches in list.
Can be very useful.

This one I can really use!
I made a few changes to fit my needs (color coding, link up/down, last change on port, neighbors etc).
I also filtered out port-channels, loopback and tunnels from the interface list.

All credit goes to Titanium for his great idea.

Hi.

Nice tool! I can also use this, I am thinking if it is not to big a problem it would be nice to include this in NeDi and make the names of switches "clickable" so CDP neighbors would link to that switch in the vlanreport.php. That would make it easier to navigate, and I would love if the me.php switch name (or an icon) would then link to the correct switch in vlanreport.php or similar.
That would work nicely for easy troubleshooting purposes at my work.

Today I have updated the vlanreport.php report tool / extension for the support with NeDi 1.6

# - Link to NeDi Device Status
# - Link to connect to Device with SSH default Programm

Warning: This version works only with NeDi 1.6, PHP 7.0 & MySQLi .

Try it! Netflow support is amazing, thx Remo!

To Install:
Download the vlanreport.zip file unzip and put the vlanreport.php file in the nedi/html/ directory .

Tx, for your work! Looks great :)

If vlanreport.php exists in /html, I'll link to it from mh.php and me.php. This way it's supported if available, but does not scare off the paranoid NeDi users (as it reveals quite a bit of information about your devices).

Yeh, the netflow stuff works rather well, thanks to the mighty nfdump tools!

Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!

Hi

I made a few changes to me.php to link this to the vlanreport.php.
Also changed the vlanreport.php so that my heldesk staff can get directly to the toolbox page (so they can ping the switch to see if it is online or not) and also the topology page with the switch and the next three links (since they do not know how the network is set up). Using these three pages in total the Helpdesk can do a basic fault finding before they make a ticket to the NetOps team.
I have changed the rights in nedi.conf for the following modules to dsk so that my Helpdesk account have rights to those tools (and some others that we have found useful too).
Code: [Select]
module Devices List dev dsk
module Topology Map paint dsk
module Nodes Toolbox tool dsk
module Reports Nodes dnod dsk
module Other Noodle find dsk

I have included the two diff's for me.php and vlanrepport.php and a couple of screenshoots.
