Only can push out 13 lines of config in Device Write
« on: November 14, 2014, 12:40:54 AM »
I am trying to push out some configurations to our switches but the write stops after the 13th line.  Any suggestions?

I am connecting to Cisco switches.
Is this a limitation or timeout setting issue?
How can I troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks
Sam Jones

A good start is my CLI tutorial on youtube.... I'm not aware of any limitations.

How would I run the debug for device write from cli?

Went through the CLI tutorial on youtube and still noticing an issue.
Does the Device write page use the SendCmd function?
If so where does it store the config file?

Enable debug: You'd have to edit inc/devwrite.pl and put something in $opt{d}

Depending on your nedi version look for cmd_admin (or any other user) in html/log or nedi/cli folder. If you run it with debugging enabled, you can check out input.log to see what the device send back...

If all fails, can you post those 13 lines?

I am having trouble getting the debug to run.

Here is the test config lines I am using.
Code: [Select]
conf t
access-list 50 remark
access-list 51 remark
access-list 52 remark
access-list 53 remark
access-list 54 remark
access-list 55 remark
access-list 56 remark
access-list 57 remark
access-list 58 remark
access-list 59 remark
access-list 60 remark
access-list 61 remark
access-list 62 remark
access-list 63 remark
access-list 64 remark
access-list 65 remark
end
write mem

It has gotten worse and is inconsistent with how many lines will actually send to the device.  I am rarely getting write mem command to send even with one access-list rule.

Thanks for your time and help
