VLAN number on 802.1x ports?
« on: August 30, 2013, 12:22:50 AM »
Anyone got a oid for a Cisco 2960 switch that will get the vlan number from a port that uses 802.1x to assign the vlan? I've looked pretty hard but I'm not having any luck, they all return as vlan 1 on the standard 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2. Our 2950's return the right vlan number, so I wonder if it's a Cisco software glitch. Any ideas please?
Cheers Al

Have you tried looking through Cisco's MIB Browser?
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en

Another thing to look at is the IOS version between a working and non working switch.
I've had some features change between 12.2 - 12.3 releases and again to 15.x or even be moved to a new OID.

Hopefully this is of some help.
Mark.
