no networks discovered
« on: July 09, 2013, 12:21:40 PM »
I don't discover any networks on our Cisco 6500 (SysObjId 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.832). How are networks discovered? By which oid or which definition variable?

There are several options in the .def file. Watch this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bunFHB-RoUQ

That would be nice. Could you attach it to your post?

Could anyone of you check, whether more information can be squeezed out of the modules? This would be achieved for adding more values to the modclasses:

Change
Movalu   9

To
Movalu   3|6|7|9|10

Oh and if you've got any IPv6 configured, could you check which ArpND/IFaddr settings work?

Which should give, chassis, PS, fan, modules and transceivers. But it only makes sense where serial numbers can actually be read...

I'd also use this for the 2nd temperature (G for gauge, but it's default and C for the unit):
Custom   Temp2;G;C   1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.1006

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.832.def seems to be very similar to 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283.def. I could get a lot of information out of the device (especially for modules) with the following definition (thanks to ascii and rickli):

Code: [Select]
# Definition for 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.832 created by Defgen 1.8 on 11.Jul 2013 (adm.obst)

I've got no IPv6 working so I can't provide any settings.

I think temperature sensors are on
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.44 = STRING: "VTT 1 outlet temperature Sensor"
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.48 = STRING: "VTT 2 outlet temperature Sensor"
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.52 = STRING: "VTT 3 outlet temperature Sensor"
Values on
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.4.44 = INTEGER: 43
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.4.48 = INTEGER: 47
.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.4.52 = INTEGER: 51

Aren't they?

tx, dobst. Can you also check vtpmode. It should return a number:

Mode   1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.2.1.1.3.1

VTP Mode is 3 (transparant) which is correct. So 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.832.def is:
