Fujitsu blade chassis switches
« on: October 22, 2012, 10:00:43 PM »
These 1.3.6.1.4.1.211.1.127.118.93 and 1.3.6.1.4.1.231 SysObjId devices seem to be difficult to find anything useful about.

The first one is "Fujitsu PY CB Eth Switch/IBP 10Gb 18/8" switch module for Fujitsu BX900 chassis. Googling for a while only mentions FGSWITCH-MIB and/or FSC-SWITCH-MIB but I can't find those files anywhere.

The second one is both "FSC Intelligent Blade Panel 30/12" and "Fujitsu PY CB Eth Switch 1Gb 36/12, Runtime Code 6.18".

Mystery devices... right now we just poll those using blank definition with SNMP v2HC defined but that's about it.

Any other NeDi user unfortunate enough to have these switches? :)

Br,
Hannu

Here's the def for 1.3.6.1.4.1.211.1.127.118.93 aka FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY BX Ethernet Switch/IBP 10Gbit/s 18/8.

I'll just reply to my old thread since these switches apparently are soon to be legacy... we inherited few more BX900 chassis which have a lifespan of maybe three more years, so I finally created libcli.pm modifications to take config backups from 1Gb and 10Gb switches:

# Fujitsu Ethernet Connection Blade
# Fujitsu PY CB Eth Switch 1Gb
$cmd{'FujitsuECB'}{'ropr'} = 'GitsDoNid';
$cmd{'FujitsuECB'}{'enpr'} = '[\w+().-]+\s?#\s?$';
$cmd{'FujitsuECB'}{'conf'} = 'show running-config';
$cmd{'FujitsuECB'}{'strt'} = '.';
$cmd{'FujitsuECB'}{'page'} = 'no pager';
# Fujitsu Ethernet 10G Connection Blade
# Fujitsu PY CB Eth Switch/IBP 10Gb
$cmd{'FujitsuE10CB'}{'ropr'} = 'GitsDoNid';
$cmd{'FujitsuE10CB'}{'enpr'} = '[\w+().-]+#\s?$';
$cmd{'FujitsuE10CB'}{'conf'} = 'show running-config';
$cmd{'FujitsuE10CB'}{'strt'} = '.';
$cmd{'FujitsuE10CB'}{'page'} = 'terminal pager disable';

ECB stands for ethernet connection blade. Fujitsu documents also use the term IBP, intelligent blade panel module in the description. I couldn't figure out any better naming than FujitsuECB and FujitsuE10CB.

Hannu

Tx, your suggestions will be reflected in NeDi 1.7. Hope that'll still be usable then :-)
Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!
