Tracking users

Feature request sort of:
It would be nice to have another column added to the nodes table called 'user' where we could update the node with the user currently associated with that mac.

Some number of versions ago I expanded the nodes table for this purpose and added a 'usertrack' table.  This has been useful for tying into our radius server for wireless authentication.  I'm able to then see which user is on which computer without searching in multiple places.  We also tie this into our NAC solution for wired addresses.

Ok, you're to blame for the DB changes then!  ;) Seriousely, good timing. I have to change quite a few things anyways (e.g. adding IPv6), so this goes along. VARCHAR(32) would be enough?

Great to see NeDi being used with NAC as well! I've actually integrated Freeradius with NeDiO7 in order to provide a single solution some day...we'll see :)

Please consider Other-Invoices on your NeDi installation for an annual contribution, tx!
