snmpv3 problem
« on: January 23, 2012, 09:31:47 AM »
Hello
last week i changed whole my network to snmpv3.
and i only use snmpv3 on my switches.

Then i configure nedi.conf for snmpv3 something like this.

Code: [Select]
comm    denop   sha     11223344        des     55667788
and when i start nedi.pl from command line i recognize nedi.pl still use snmpv2 and because of the restiriction cannot access switches

Code: [Select]
SNMP:Connect 10.10.10.1 denop v2 Tout:7s MaxMS:2048
any ideas?

Hello

When i look at the nedi db all devices match with snmp v2 so whatever i done in nedi.conf db entry overrides snmpv3 definition.

i remove all devices from db and then run nedi.pl from command line.

All devices now snmpv3 : )

There may be better and elegant solution.

One could set snmpversion directly via SQL, but 64-bit counter stuff is embedded there as well...
