I have also a problem in the line 1849
This error occurs when the backup configuration job is running.
If I delete the device and re-discover the Configuration backup works

/var/nedi/nedi.pl -v -B0 -SAFGgsjmvpadobewit -a “IP”

The first:
no tacacs-server host 1.1.1.1

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

The second:
conf t no tacacs-server host 1.1.1.1 end write mem

Seems as if no line feed is received
A simple command to run:

no tacacs-server host 1.1.1.1

In the preview window it looks correct:

conf t
no tacacs-server host 1.1.1.1
end
write mem

is performed:

Conf t no tacacs-server host 1.1.1.1 end write mem

Because the command is incorrect nothing will be logged.

Tested with NeDi Version 1.0.9-010 and 1.1.155

General Topics / View device status at the router
« on: August 11, 2014, 11:25:52 AM »
I noticed that first the interfaces will be displayed and below the corresponding
Sub-interfaces mixed with the VLANs.
Is it complicated the sub interfaces of a router, considered under the respective interface?
I would find the view more clearly.

Nice thing with the search box "Find IT"
Is it possible to determine into which database fields looking for?
Or take the "IF Alias" field in the search.

Try 'device regexp "^10" and login !=""'
comes the same error

"device ~ '^10' and login !=''"
syntax error near '^10' and login !=''" at line 1 at /var/nedi/inc/libdb.pm line 607

I'm running out of ideas

Discovery / Nedi-321 Discovery Notification
« on: December 16, 2013, 09:04:33 AM »
Hi,

I would like to be informed about new devices.
In nedi.conf under Messaging & Monitoring “D”
But I get threshold and login errors by mail.
In the version 1.0.8-240 that worked great.

Discovery / NeDi 321 discovery problem
« on: December 03, 2013, 03:25:51 PM »
Hi,
to find new devices, I use the following job like this:

/var/nedi/nedi.pl –vpA ‘device regexp “^10”’  ‘login !=””’ –SmgafoWjitedbWAO > /tmp/xxxxx

Where “^10” represents the location.
The Jobs work as long as the numbers match a location.
The job will abort if an incorrectly configured device is processed in this location
Here a device is starting with 11 in the 10 location

Writing Dev ----------------------------------------------------------
WDEV:11e0001 written to nedi.devices
Can’t call method “is_zero” on unblessed reference at /usr/lib/perl5/5.16.2/Math/BigFloat.pm line 506

Unfortunately, I can’t prevent such errors and am happy to be able to resolve the same.
But how can I prevent that the job stops here?

Thanks for the great tool and the help!

Hi,
had the same problem
Delete the entry in the field "Alias Index" and it works.
