Title: NEDI 1.0.9 DLink Switch config backup possible
Post by: leckermojito on April 07, 2014, 04:08:17 PM
Im trying to backup the Config fom out Dlink DGS-3100 Switches but NEDI only shows a dark lightbulp and no key ore anything else in this line.
Backup of our Cisco 870 Routers are working fine.

How can i configure that NEDI does also backup the config from the D-Link devices and also from our Bintec Routers?

cheers

Benjamin

1. Add hashes with "DlinkOS" in libcli and set this OS in .def
2. Pay me to do it...

sadly we are very short on budget because it is for supporting school-IT. Germany should spend more money for supporting shools and shool-IT
If we had enouth money for paying you...we absolutly would.

Ill try if i can get it to work on my own...

Glad to hear. Would be great if you could share what you've done to get it working...

As to financing (and this is hopefully interesting for everybody): After more than 12 years as a hobby, I've made NeDi my profession. Consider how much time (and cost) NeDi saves and what it's worth to you to keep its development going.

I'm pretty sure every company operating 100 or so switches can afford a few hundred bucks on an annual basis (larger networks more accordingly), if they're seriously using it. And that's what Other-Invoice inside NeDi is designed for, financing future development of  NeDi...

I don't really want to resort to a "professional" and community version, so I hope this model is going to work.
